This week I have the honor of being the guest designer over at Pencil Lines, my favorite sketch blog! So come over here if you want to join the challenge – it was so cool to see the different takes on my layout :D
Speaking of challenges, for this week’s Thirty-Minute Thursday over at ScrapHappy, I decided to scraplift this layout by Kim Morgan. I really liked how she used the square-punched photos next to the big one, so I did my own take on that. Oh, and I stole her theme, too. I’m not sure about the big, empty white areas (my white space isn’t usually inside things), but since I’ve already applied the butterfly rubon there is no way in hell I’m taking the chance of messing it up by adding my handwriting there. It is going into the hiking album after a layout where I describe the trail anyway, so there’s really no need for journaling. Anyway, here it is:
I wonder how these 30 minute challenges are going to work out when my scrapbook room is up and running and I have access to all my crap again. Apparently the secret to speedy scrapbooking is to not have to search through mountains of supplies to find the perfect paper. I think I have to become a less materialistic scrapper. Hmm.
