We’re back from vacation, but before I get into all the amazing views and hikes and lizards and projectile vomiting, I just need to vent about how insanely homesick I am. I love Washington so much and I don’t really want to live anywhere else, but twice a year (Christmas and May – my favorite month in Norway; everything’s in bloom and the weather is usually great) I just really want to go back to the old country. Sigh.
So here I am, looking for airplane tickets. Hopefully the lousiness that is The Dollar right now won’t have too much of an impact since I will be staying with my parents at the summer house for most of the trip. Man I miss that place:
Alright, I am just going to take the plunge and order the tickets. Hopefully I can convince JK to join me for a couple of weeks; he hasn’t gone back to Norway since we moved here! In the meantime I am all set to enjoy the Norwegian Constitution Day Parade in Ballard (the “Norwegian” part of Seattle) on Saturday – and since this is supposed to be a scrapbooking blog, here’s a layout from last year’s parade:
